REALM Memorial
READ AS YOU WALK (carefully) to the Mamaroneck Library--this site WILL be in front of the Town Center by Fall 2025.
Stories Previously Untold...

With the support of the Mamaroneck Town Board, a committee of local residents, REALM (Recognizing the Enslaved Africans of Larchmont Mamaroneck) will be installing a memorial to honor the individuals enslaved in Mamaroneck Township between 1661 and 1822.
The Memorial

Their stories will be told through ceramic artwork embedded on both sides of a curved monument on the hill in front of the Town Center. Currently, the artwork is in production and is slated for installation in the Fall of 2025. Above shows the flyer for the memorial, depicting a mockup of the final installation among other behind-the-scenes photos.
